Anza-Borrego Desert: Sin Nombre East Fork Loop

Rating *****
Length 5.5 mile (return) - 2 Hour, 30 Minutes (return trip). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 600 - 1120 feet
Access Take South Carrizo Creek trail, turn East on the Overland and turn right on the marked Sin Nombre trail. High clearance 4x4 only.

This is a great hiking area, steeper canyons, sandstone and gravel.

Hike South/East into a fork of the Sin Nombre wash.
Go cross country heading mostly East until you end up in a parallel wash that ends in the Carrizo Creek.
Follow this wash South, provably hard to tell what's the main wash without a GPS.

A real nice sandy wash, follow it close to the end and cross over using a small rocky wash up to a flats.

Hike back North towards the car.

How to get here:
Take South Carrizo Creek trail an excellent dirt road except for the deep tracks. Some time after rain the road may be muddy.
At the end turn East on the sandy Overland and almost immediately turn south on the marked Sin Nombre trail
Mark any fork, to make sure you drive back the same track you came in on.
Park after about 0.8 Mile from the Overland.
