Impressive, rugged canyons.

These are canyons you can see while driving on the Sweeney pass, looking South.

Start walking uphill South/East in the sandy wash.
In some years, you might find illegal car or motorcycle tracks in the wash.

Take the second canyon on the right. (South).
Basically keep right at the forks, the wash gets narrow and filled with rocks and some boulders.
There are still some stretches with sand.
Just as the rocks get annoying, more sand and the wash levels into a float area.
Now the water runs West into the return wash.

The return wash is more rugged, with a sandy wash, some short stretches, filled with small boulders.
The GPX file includes a shortcut.
We added an alternative A1 route in the GPX file.

Warning:
These canyons are probably used for smuggling, we saw some evidence in the wash, like bottles and bags.
