A slightly adventurous, but amazing hike into sand canyons and mud hills.
This hike doesn't take you to Fonts Point, but the views will be great.
Don't take this hike without a GPS, it's a maze and sometimes you have to go back, the latter may be more complicated than you might think.
Hike counter clockwise, heading north in the wide fork of the Fonts Point wash.
This GPS trail is an indication only, conditions will change, a route we took may be impossible the next year.
It's not uncommon to get stuck in a too narrow wash, having to go back and try it somewhere else.
Most of the hike is considered easy, but some short stretches are moderate.
How to get here:
Most car should be able to make it up to the trail head.
On the S22 between mile 29-30, take the dirt road marked Fonts Point and drive for about 4 miles, up to a barred wash.
Be aware of the sand, if you don't have a 4x4, make sure to stay on the "road".
Don't blame us when you get stuck in loose sand.
