A hike on the PCT north of Warner Springs.
This may well be one of the most scenic parts of the PCT close the ABDSP, it gently heads uphill, winding along a creek.
From the parking spot, hike the barred dirt road east and pick up the PCT heading north/east.
This is PCT section B3a
It connects to this trail to the north.
How to get here:
Start of the hike: Park along Hwy 79 close to mile 36.6 (Park 1).
End of the hike: Exit Hwy 79 close to mile 37 on the 9S05 "Indian flats road" also known as Lost valley rd/Lost Creek Rd.
Drive this excellent narrow asphalt road for 4.5 mile and park at a barred dirt road. (Park 2)
This hike is ideal for a bike shuttle as it generally heads downhill from Park 2 -> Park 1.
Make sure your bike has great brakes, watch out for gravel/sand and potholes. This is a dead end road, but you may encounter traffic, so watch out, especially on a bike.
