A hike up Wonderstone wash.
The wash is wide at the start, filled with gravel, sand and small rocks.
Only closer to the end, the wash narrows and the terrain gets more scenic.
How to get here:
Exit Hwy 86 at Salton Sea Beach, heading west.
Stop at the Quarry office for permission to cross private property.
Make sure you plan an alternative route in case the office is closed.
Head south along power lines, at the end of the quarry head west.
Once in the wash road, expect a very rough wash.
