Anza-Borrego Desert: Nolina canyon

Rating *****
length 7 Mile - 4 hour (Round trip), Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 2020 - 2900 feet
Access 4x4 preferred. Exit on Hwy 78 mile 81 on the marked (pinyon) park (dirt) road

This nice in and out hike explores the main Nolina canyon wash and forks.
One fork ends in what may be the most spectacular dry fall in the park.
This hike is rated easy, but you will encounter some rocks and small boulders along the way. Head back and at the fork (fork 2) turn left (West) climb up the dry fall on the right side, or to keep it easy head back and explore other forks like fork 1.

How to get there:

Exit on Hwy 78 mile 81 on the marked (pinyon) park road.

The road is pretty good for a park road.
Sand, small rocks and scrubs that come real close to your car, maybe too close.

After 1.6 mile turn right (South) at the Nolina junction (signed past the junction), drive up to the end (4.1 mile extra) and park.
Once on the Nolina 'road', expect more and bigger rocks and deeper sand.
