Elevation 2300 - 3940 feet

A hike up Grapevine mountain from the west.
Hiking up a rough wash with 3 rather steep falls.
There is a route around all falls, but doing so is rather steep and slippery.
The last part in a small drainage towards the PCT is rather steep again.
Heading back along the PCT and continue in the same wash.

The main obstacle now is navigating around scrubs, especially agave.
Hiking up a rather steep slope, until it levels off closer to the actual peek.
From the peak head down on a more westerly course and ending in another wash.
Hike back along the PCT towards the car.

How to get here:

Park roadside at point "Park" on the S2 close to the scissors crossing.
