Anza-Borrego Desert: Perpendicular Bluff Yaqui Ridge

Rating *****
length 3.8 mile - 3-4 hour,(One way), Moderate.
Elevation 1075 - 1815 feet
Access All cars, park roadside along the S3 and 78.
A route from Hwy 78 up to Marker Perpendicular Bluff, continuing along the Yagui ridge up to the S3.

The marker is on the Perpendicular Bluff fault.
It is a perpendicular bluff when approached from the west, following the ridge down.

This GPS only route is one of the many possible ways to hike from the 78 to the S3. The terrain is rough and heading in the East/West direction means crossing many drainages heading North.

Alternative:
A round trip hike up to Marker Perpendicular Bluff and back the same way, or over the ridge along the wash. (2-3 hour round trip)
