This is one of the most scenic trails in the area.
The trail starts at a small parking at Una Palma where there is indeed one palm. Regretfully, as of 2015 it should read there used to be one palm.
The trail goes cross country following canyons washes and over small mud/rocky hills in the badlands.
There is shade at the 5 and 17 Palm oasis.
The trail is not that difficult considering the fact, that we travel cross country.
We first go to 5 palms oasis, look for a single palm, a couple of yards past the oasis (makes it at least 5).
Next stop is 17 Palms Oasis (there are some more now). Hiking time 1.5 Hours, round trip.
