Anza-Borrego Desert: Smuggler Canyon

Length 2.7 mile (drop) or 3.6 mile (saddle) (return) - 2 Hour (drop) (return trip). Easy (drop).
Elevation 3030 - 3310 feet
Access Exit at Blair valley and follow the road all the way. The road is signed all the way, just follow the pictographs sign. Most cars when dry.

A hike along pictographs, towards smugglers drop.

The hike up up to smugglers drop will take you 2 hour return and is an easy hike.

The rest of the hike is interesting but moderate up to a saddle.
Other routes are possible, but be aware that the terrain is rough and steep further south. Truck size boulders are common.

How to get here:

Exit at Blair valley and follow the road all the way. The road is signed all the way, just follow the pictographs sign.

The road is OK for most cars. The road is sandy and the last part, beyond the Morteros may be partially washed away in some years.
Don't drive this road after rain.
