Anza-Borrego Desert: 17 Palms Loop

Length 5.3 mile (return) - 2 Hour, 10 minutes (return trip). Easy.
Elevation 420 - 700 feet
Access High clearance only, take the exit Arroyo Salado (Camp). Drive the wash road for about 3.6 Mile, up to the crossing and turn right.

An easy hike close to 17 Palms with nice mud and gravel canyons.
At 17 Palms Oasis hike North and keep in the left (West) Wash.
A real firm wash for easy hiking.

If you can't follow the GPS just explore.


Take the exit Arroyo Salado (Camp).
Drive the wash road for about 3.6 Mile, up to the next crossing and turn right.
The road is sand with some gravel, good for a wash road.
You need a high clearance vehicle and 4x4 is safer.
