Elevation 2950 - 4050 feet
Access All cars. On the Montesuma, close to mile: 10.5 Just after the road becomes a 2/3 way road, in the bend. Take the dirt road left (West) signed "(old) Culp Valley". Park as soon as you find a spot to park.

This is one of the best places to find wildflowers.
Hike up South, keeping East in Culp Valley.

Follow the valley up along the wash. A very short bunch of boulders, easy to cross.
Follow the wash all the way up the the ridge, where you find the Wilson trail.
Hike back.

The terrain is filled with boulders, but the wash area is filled with sand for easy hiking.

Because of the fire in 2012 the plants are exceptionally big and the scenery changed, but everything is growing back strong.
The upside of the fire; the wash is easy to hike, not many obstacles.
