Anza-Borrego Desert: The Potrero loop

Rating *****
length 8.6 mile - 3 hour, 40 minutes (The loop). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 1560 - 1930 feet
Access All cars park along the S2, close to mile 34, just outside the county park.

This is a loop in a couple of washes of "The Potrero".
Head south on an old barred dirt road.
This part of the hike is strenuous in the soft horse / hiking trail.

Follow this GPS hike up a small faint wash.
At "Fence 2" follow the fence left (east), up to the main wash and follow it back (north).
The return wash is rocky at times and is filled with Desert Willows, maybe the biggest in and close to the park.

Along the way you will encounter a couple of fences, so far as we can tell, it's all public land.
