This loop explores the wildlife area, it follows old dirt roads, goes cross country.
This is a GPS only loop.
Wildlife is very good in making hiking trails, so the route follows them whenever possible.
At one point, exit the wash on a very faint dirt road, overgrown by chemise.
The overgrown dirt road seemingly stops at a couple of scrubs (Sugarbush), go uphill and hike around, picking up the 'road' again.
This loop visits a couple of the numerous springs.
Note:
The area is closed from June 1st to August 31st.
A CDFW Lands Pass must be carried by each visitor, cost about $ 5 a day or about $25 for a year (2018).

Some areas are closed to the public: Closed areas
The closed area on the map isn't very clear. This hike should stay within the allowed area, but that might not be the case.
How to get there:
Along the S2, park roadside, don't block the gate.
