A hike up Traveler (Traveller) / Palm Peak.
For the first part of the hike read Truckhaven Rocks.

At the end of the wash scramble up to the ridge, here you find a faint Native American trail.
Head North/East up a ridge, first on gravel, but as the ridge narrows on a clear hiking trail.
The original trail builders, seem to have build the trail just below the notch/bump in the ridge. But this isn't the best place right now, stay close to the ridge.

A rocky bump in the ridge is an obstacle as the ridge is narrow and rather steep on the North side.
Close to the peak there is a small gulley with solid cemented rock on both sides and a gravel slide (slippery) in the middle. (the slope below angles at about 45 degrees)
Left of the gulley seems to be the best place to go up, but still rather steep.
It's only a short climb to the peak, but potentially dangerous. So better enjoy the view just before the peak and head back.

How to get here:

On the S22, mile 35.5, park roadside.
