Anza-Borrego Desert: Big Wash loop

Rating *****
length 6.7 mile (round trip) - 3 hour (round trip). Moderate.
Elevation 120 - 540 feet
Access High clearance 4x4 only, See below.

Continue on the wash 'road' with plenty of signs to stay on the road.
Follow the wash as it gets rockier and less chance of traffic.

Cross over in a rocky wash up to the main Big Wash. This part of Big Wash is very rocky for a while until it gets more and more sandy.
This part seems to be free of vehicles.

How to get here:
From the Salton City Arco gas station head North on highway 86.
Just past the Palm Wash crossing, turn east (left point Exit 1) and drive parallel to the highway still going North.
This is a bumpy dirt 'pole line road'
Cross the Coral wash, at the second bridge turn 45 degrees left.

An alternative route is exit (West) on Treadwell Bend, turn right on Lesser Dr, turn right on Treadwell Bvd, turn left on Azure Ave, now turn right and go underneath the highway bridge.

Now follow the other pole line road heading West out of the wash. Do not follow the Grave Wash that heads South/West.

At point 'Big Wash' (unsigned) head South/West in a more narrow sandy wash with some rocks and park at point 'Park'.

Warning:
This may not be the best place to be in Weekends and Holidays, even thought there isn't much opportunity to drive cross country.
We encountered no traffic so far.
