Anza-Borrego Desert: Buttes Canyon Loop

Length 4.9 mile (round trip) - 3 Hour (round trip). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 450 - 800 feet

A hike in the Borrego Mountain area, with great sandstone canyons.
On this route, a narrow slot like canyon with some dry falls.
Crossing Goat Trail (road) and looping back into a nice box canyon.

The return route follows an old ridge trail back towards the car.
The ridge view of the surrounding area is very good.

Warning: The canyon will become very narrow at times.

How to get here:

Take the exit Buttes Pass, turn right on the next exit Buttes Pass.
Disregard the road to the right that heads up Goat Trail.
Disregard the Hawk Canyon Exit.
Park at the GPS track.
