All cars. Between Palo Verde and Coachwhip along the S22. Park at a drainage east of the signed Palo Verde Wash.
A loop hike down Palo Verde Wash, up the next wide Ella Wash.
Crossing the S22 into Coachwhip Canyon, keep left into a small drainage connecting the Coachwhip Canyon with Smoketree Canyon.
Just before the canyon walls on the east get higher, scramble up and follow the well defined hiking trail, that's most likely an old American Indian trail.
Follow the trail into a sandy wash leading back to the car.
