Anza-Borrego Desert: PCT from Scissors Crossing to Rodriguez rd

A scenic hike up or down the PCT from the Scissors crossing up to the Rodriguez rd.
Warning this is a one way route.

How to get here:

This is a shuttle hike.
Drive the 78 up to Banner, exit at an unsigned dirt road mile 64.9.
Pass one gate and continue on this rough road up to the next crossing, now turn left (east) and follow the dirt road.
At the next gate, the road is generally badly eroded, just follow the rocky road up to the PCT.
The PCT is marked Pacific Crest Trail / Rodriguez rd.

A a bike shuttle is an option, leaving the car at Rodriguez.
Riding down on a mountain bike towards banner, is mostly downhill, sometimes slippery, good brakes are essential.
Now follow the 78 east, up to Scissors Crossing, mostly downhill, with one uphill stretch close to Scissors Crossing.
Length: 8.7 mile, under 1 hour.
