Anza-Borrego Desert: Thimble Palo Verde loop

Length 6.8 mile - 3 Hour (round trip). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 700 - 1000 feet
Access Most cars, exit signed Thimble Trail mile 31.9, drive up to point 'park'.

This hike explores the hills between the Thimble Trail and the Palo Verde Wash.
It follows hills often covered with (drift) sand and crosses over to the badlands.

Following a badland wash, that eventually leads up to the edge above the badlands.
Enjoy the spectacular views back towards the car.
