Anza-Borrego Desert: Travertine Palms Wash South

Length 4.5 mile (round trip) - 3 Hour (round trip). Moderate.

Head South/West and keep left in the canyon. There isn't a marked trail.
Not a real main wash out here, just a bunch of small drainages that are rather rocky.
You have to find the best route to hike, sometimes in the wash, but mostly just out of the wash.

It's not as bad as it looks, you should be able to avoid most of the rocks.

Head into the South Fork.


How to get here:
Exit Highway 86 (86 Ave) just beyond the Travertine Rock.
The dirt road is OK for most cars, stop after about 0.8 mile.
