For the most part, this loop follows well maintained fire roads and trails up to Azelea Spring.

Head for the Hual-Cu-Cuish sign and follow the Milk Ranch Road.
Turn left (south) on the Azelea Spring Fire Road.
Just past Azelea Spring turn left (east) on Azalea Glen Road.

Next follow the Azalea Glen Trail, followed by the Azalea Glen Loop Trail. Follow it for a short while and turn slightly left over a large meadow (may be wet). To the left along the tree line is a faint hiking trail, cross the creek and pick up the trail back towards the car.

The trails are well signed but may be confusing for first time visitors, because there are a lot of similar named trails.

How to get here:
Start at free Trout Pond parking in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.
