Anza-Borrego Desert: Blair Valley Granite Mountain Loop

Rating *****
Length 4.1 mile (loop) - 3 Hour, 15 minutes (loop). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 2540 - 3325 feet
Access All cars, roadside along the S2

This hike follows a sandy wash, heads up a saddle, loops back in another sandy wash and follows the California Riding and Hiking towards the car.
Easy at first in a sandy wash. As the canyon narrows, more shrubs and small boulders.

Hiking up towards the saddle is surprisingly easy, often out of the wash, but certainly not void of boulders and shrubs.
Down more cacti and agave blocking the most obvious route.
Turn right next to a rocky drainage.

Now turn south/east toward the return wash, this is an alternative larger parking at the end of a dirt road.
At the end of the wash, cross the S2 and continue down along the trail marked MB (Mormon Battalion).
