Anza-Borrego Desert:North of Alma Wash

length 6.7 Mile - 4 hour (Round trip). Moderate, plenty of rocks.
Elevation 90 - 1080 feet
Access All cars, from Ocotillo Wells take Split Mountain Road, exit on a dirt road "Exit dirt road".

An unnamed wash, similar to the Alma Wash.
A lot of rocks, mixed with easy sandy stretches.

At the start, hike along the fence and head up the often hard to follow wash, split in many drainages.

Note: In 2022 a wide gravel road now covers the first part of the hike.
To avoid the "road" take the alternative a1 route in the gpx file.
