West Mesa - Azalea Spring loop

This is a fairly easy hike, with some elevation gain, following fire roads and a hiking trail.
Views towards Cuyamaca peak and Soapstone Peak.

Hike up the wide West Mesa fire road.
Turn right on Fern Flat Fire Road up to Lookout Road.
Cross Lookout Road (asphalt) and follow the wide Azalea Spring Fire Road.
Visit Azalea Spring, head back and turn left on Azalea Glen Road.
Follow Azalea Spring Fire Road to Lookout Road.
Turn left on Lookout Road and follow it for a short while down.
Turn right on West Side Trail.
West Side Trail is a narrow trail with plenty of shade, follow it mostly downwards towards the parking.

Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, start at free West Mesa trail head parking along the 79.
