Devils Canyon Loop

Rating *****
length 7.4 mile - 4 hour (Loop). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 755 - 1200 feet
Access High clearance only, see below.

In Point Park, you may think you have landed in the most desolate place in the whole region.
It's probably the moving sand that prevents plants from germinating, maybe combined with the off-roaders.

Walking uphill, the other side looks much more alive and the hike is actually a scenic one in partly volcanic terrain.

How to get here:
Take the EC 119 (Number is on the road markers) Dos Cabezas (easiest), or the EC 109.
There are a couple of new roads, made for the windfarm, making it a bit more complicated.
A high clearance 4x4 car is recommended, but you probably can do without the 4x4.
While crossing the railroad, turn right and immediately turn left away from the railroad.
At the end turn left and follow the hillside.
A GPS track of the road is included in the GPX file.
