This is a GPS only hike.
The route circles the mountain in In-Ko-Pah County Park and makes a loop in Anza Borrego Desert State Park and BLM (el Centro).
Follow a signed route that is certainly not a maintained trail.
Follow the trail until the signed trail leaves the canyon on the left.
Continue and go around the boulders to the right.
At the top there is a dirt road, follow it until the route goes cross-country (no markers here).
You will come to a second dirt road, follow it for a while and then cross country to a third dirt road.
Now it gets easy again and you follow the dirt road 052 up to a junction and follow the dirt road 023.
The route follows the wash down to the In-Ko-Pah County Park route.
The easy way is to go back the way you came, down the canyon.
Or continue on the marked route up the hillside, it's a rough trail that's not used much.
When the trail markers end, continue the loop cross-country, not much more difficult than the signed trail.
The return route may cross some abandoned private property.
How to get here:
From the I8 take exit 77 In-Ko-Pah County Park.
Park at the signed county park at the parking spots.
