Boiling Spring Escondido Ravine Loop

A forest and canyon hike, gps only. From the parking lot, cross the asphalt and follow the trail uphill.
At a wide dirt road, turn left uphill toward the boiling spring pump station.

Go left around the pump station and follow the rocky trail downhill, this trail is unmarked and unmaintained..
At the bottom turn left onto a wide, sometimes dusty dirt road.

Turn right at some cabins and eventually follow a dirt road along Escondido Ravine.
The GPS track makes a cross-country detour into the ravine, you can skip it by following the dirt road.

Warning: You may be crossing unmarked private property at the cabins.

How to get here:
Park along the S1 at the Big Laguna Trial head free to park (2024).
