BorregoHiking.com: Grapevine

The Grapevine area is located east of the S2 and North of the scissors crossing.
More or less west and east of the Pacific Crest Trail that follows the Grapevine mountain range.

Into Grapevine canyon runs a road that is excellent up to the Angelina spring, but just before the spring, you need a lot of ground clearance and traction.
The road is better driven from above using the Jasper trail, that said once on the steep stretch you may not be able to drive back.

Most of the area was burned down in 2012 but is growing back slowly. And is completely grown back along some springs, like Angelina Spring.
